1956 Citroen C10 Prototype – The Feather-Light Dew Drop

André Lefèbvre, who began his career as an aviation engineer for Voisin, was also a racing driver and the brain behind Citroen C10 Prototype. The idea was to create a vehicle that was shaped like a droplet of water, and the result was a ride that was feather-light and weighed just 382kgs (the average weight is 1000+ kg.)
He called it Citroen Coccinelle in French, which meant “ladybug.” The design, if it does not perfectly resemble a drop of water, really does look like an insect. Fortunately, actual ladybugs are much smaller!
