Susanna Thompson – Varel

Although best known for her work in films, Susanna Thompson did make a mark in the TV landscape. She did the same in the “Star Trek” franchise by appearing in two separate incarnations playing two different characters. The first of these was as Dr. Lenara Kahn in “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.”

While she wasn’t a regular, she was part of an iconic same-gender kiss scene, one of the earliest on American TV. She also had various other minor roles in the franchise, including Varel on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and the Borg Queen in “Star Trek: Voyager.” In 2021 she had a part in a film titled “Malignant.”
