LeVar Burton – Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge

LeVar Burton is quite the prolific actor. He is also renowned for having some significant roles, including playing Kunta Kinte in the iconic miniseries “Roots.” He is also noted for his role in “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” Playing Commander Geordi La Forge from 1987 to 1994.

The character is noted for his popular visor, which Burton pulled off swimmingly. He also had a long stint hosting the kid’s educational show “Reading Rainbow,” which he worked on from 1983 to 2006. His stint on this show saw him win 12 Daytime Emmy Awards. In 2021 he had a role in a series called “Leverage: Redemption.”
