Jeremy Bowen – TV Presenter, £220K

We can never understand the sheer courage it takes to pursue a career as a war correspondent. But we can always appreciate the efforts of individuals like Jeremy Bowen. They devote their lives to providing coverage from war-torn countries. In 1984, Bowen joined the BBC and was posted to El Salvador.
Although he’s reported from over 70 countries throughout his career, he’s primarily based in the Middle East. In fact, from 1995 to 2000, he was the BBC’s primary Middle East correspondent. And from 2005 to date, he has served as the Middle East Editor. His annual earning of £220K may fall short of expectation, but Bowen’s not complaining.
