Rachel Burden – Presenter, £205K

Though her surname may infer otherwise, Rachel Burden finds her work at BBC to be one of the most fulfilling aspects of her life. But, of course, we couldn’t expect otherwise, considering she’s been with the network since the early 2000s. So when her salary was revealed to be £205K in 2021, it came as no surprise.

Although she joined Radio 5 Live in 2003, it wasn’t until 2011 that Burden became an official presenter of the radio service’s weekday breakfast show. And in January 2022, she bid farewell to her interim co-star, Felicity Hannah, as she announced the return of Sean Harrington.
