As darkness enveloped the house, Greg found sleep difficult, each toss and turn echoing the turmoil that the pool had stirred in his life. Despite the stern facade he presented and the warnings issued, a nagging sensation whispered that the chapter of pool troubles was still open and the scratching incident was merely a prologue.
