Oh, come on! Why would the Golden State be featured here? It all boils down to the cost-of-living that seems to be rising by the day. The land of Silicon Valley and Hollywood might have an allure of its own, but all that comes with a heavy price; it makes California the third most expensive state to live in!

Along with high costs, there are dangerous wildfires that wreak havoc in the lives of people. So it is not a big surprise that California features in the top 10 of United Van Lines’s survey, but quite notably, it also finds a place in the inbound moves list.
