Alabama – Inbound Moves: 55.5%

According to recent studies, even though Alabama’s moving ranking has remained more or less the same in the last few years, the locally available job opportunities in the state have remained woefully scant. The largest percentage of people moving out of the region has been because of the lack of decent employment.
Yet surprisingly, the cost of everyday living is fairly reasonable- an attraction for those looking to live well on a budget. Given the current state of affairs, things are not looking up for most careers, but if you happen to practice law or medicine, both being in high-demand, this is definitely the place for you to live.
