Louisiana – Outbound Moves: 54.7%

Louisiana is usually filled with tourists who turn up for the Mardi Gras celebrations and an exotic course of Cajun food, but the locals only seem to be looking for ways to get out. With one in twenty people out of a job, the state fares very poorly when it comes to unemployment, and has sent 54.7% of the population packing.

In addition to it, parts of the former French colony are bound to leave you in a state of despair. A temperature of 100-degrees with a humidity level of 100% is mostly unheard of unless you are a Louisianan!
