Bruno Sammartino – Undisclosed Amount, Ross Township

Bruno Sammartino held the title of World Heavyweight Champ in the WWE for two consecutive reigns. That’s a total of eleven years! His moniker was ‘The Italian Strongman’ and his tight bear hugs were infamous. Sammartino died in April 2018 from multiple organ failure due to heart issues, for which he’d already had hospital stays. He was 82 years old. WWE honored him with its salute of ten bells prior to a house show that was held in Cape Town, South Africa, the day that he died. He’d lived with his only wife Carol in their charming large home in Ross Township, Pennsylvania, up to his death.
