André the Giant – $358K, Ellerbe

André the Giant was the professional moniker for the French wrestling giant André Roussimoff. He had gigantism, and he had this extra growth-regulating hormone to thank for his excessive size. André, who passed away in 1993, was the owner of an Ellerbe estate, over in North Carolina known as The Ranch. It was 46 acres wide and contained cattle. André was known to also have had several dogs there. He loved being at home and enjoyed entertaining, and the house contained a few customized pieces of furniture and other details, to accommodate his larger size and weight. A documentary on André the Giant was shown on HBO in April 2018.
