Biltmore Estate – Asheville, North Carolina

Vanderbilt family’s masterpiece, the great Baltimore Estate, is an iconic structure in Asheville, North Carolina, and a great magnet for tourists worldwide. It is also known as America’s Largest Home. The massive French Renaissance-style building consists of 250 rooms, including 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, and an acreage covering 175,000 square feet of land.
The entire project took over six years from start to finish. The 75 acres of formal and informal lawns later earned the Baltimore Estate its status of being the pioneer in sustainable land use in 1895. Vanderbilt family’s original collection of furniture and art pieces is still exhibited inside the house.
