Garden of the Gods – Colorado

Initially, the incredibly breathtaking site was named Red Rock Corral. It wasn’t until 1859 that it was called Garden of the Gods by two surveyors who helped set up the city of Colorado. The park was commissioned as a National Natural Landmark in 1971, and it continues to attract more than 2 million visitors in a year making it the most visited site in the region.

The dramatic views of 300’ towering sandstone rock formation against a backdrop of snowy peaks and blue skies make the site irresistible. The garden of Gods Park is most popular for hiking, rock climbing, road and mountain biking, and horseback riding.
