Pfeiffer Beach – Big Sur, California

Big Sur, the longest stretch of natural and untouched coastline in the United States, is home to many stunning wonders earth has to offer. Among them, Pfeiffer Beach has a place of honor for being a magical amalgamation of water and land.
Secluded, scenic, organic, and astonishingly beautiful, this stretch of the central coast of California has purple sand as its unique feature. It gets the color from the manganese garnet deposits along the shores. Adding to its allure are two massive rocks along the crashing surf, with one of them forming a natural arch known as the keyhole arch that allows daylight and waves to pass through it.
