Empire State Building – New York City, New York

Now regarded as the most prominent office building globally, the Empire State Building is a historic landmark and the tallest construction of its time. The design and structure of this building were inspired by two other Art Deco buildings – the Reynolds Building in North Carolina, which the same architect designed, and the Carew Tower in Cincinnati.
The two buildings are often cited as the ancestors of the Empire State Building. Quite surprisingly, despite its massive size, the entire process from design to finished product only took twenty months to complete. As per a poll by the American Institute of Architects, it is America’s Favorite Architecture.
