Northern Lights – Minnesota And Others

Northern Lights display their mesmerizing show in many locations around the world. In the USA, the Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are travel destinations to catch this marvelous exhibit of nature’s artwork on dark skies, called Aurora Borealis.
This remarkable phenomenon is actually caused by distortion inside the earth’s magnetic field. When the charged particles from solar winds reach the earth’s atmosphere, they collide with gases and put on this stunning show, usually around 90 to 130 km above the ground, although they appear to be very low in the sky.
