Green Sea Turtles (honu) – Laniakea Beach, Oahu, Hawaii

Laniakea Beach is a very picturesque scene made even more enthralling by the rare creatures that love to bask on the sandy stretch. Found on Oahu’s North shore, it is better known as Turtle Beach since it is home to the endangered green sea turtles (honu).

Honu is one of the biggest hard-shelled sea turtles worldwide whose diet includes sea moss and algae hence its green-looking skin. While it may not be ideal for swimming during Winter, it makes a great viewing site for these sea animals, which are often a beautiful sight to see.
