White Sands National Park – New Mexico

We bet you’re used to seeing white sand at the beach, but what if we told you there’s a place where it’s an all-white sand desert? Located in New Mexico is the White Sands National Park, which houses sprawling dunes of crisp white powder.
Some animal species survive here, like the desert box turtle, porcupines, snakes, and lizards, making it a self-sustaining ecosystem. Did you know that there is the largest gypsum dune in the world within the park that spans over 275 square miles? Who wouldn’t want to see that!
