Badwater Basin – D**th Valley, California

First-time visitors to the United States or the great state of California need not cower in fear when someone recommends a visit to the D**th Valley. Contrary to its name, D**th Valley is a massive region that is bursting with so much beauty and wonder, and Badwater Basin is one of its most striking sights.
At 282 feet below sea level, Badwater Basin is known as the lowest point anywhere in the North American continent. It looks like a collection of hundreds of thousands of interconnected and interlocked polygons of salt flats. The area is also frequently flooded, thus giving the salt flats a clear mirror-like reflection.
