A Traffic Light With A Human For Scale

Looking at traffic lights while driving a car, the road fixtures appear deceivingly small. But this photo of one with a human beside it for scale proves otherwise. Typically, traffic lights stretch to about four feet in height. Its lights, meanwhile, are large enough to fit a human head.
It figures, right? After all, traffic lights need to be seen by motorists from several feet away to avoid road mishaps and to moderate traffic effectively. Another cool thing about the signaling device is that its lights shine brighter due to its reflective casings.
