A Wombat’s Actual Size

In terms of cuteness, the Australian marsupial wombat is up there with adorable bunnies. As for its size, though. Well, there’s nothing cute about it, as these pictures show. On average, the herbivore can grow up to 47 inches and weigh in at about 80 pounds, which is comparable to the size of a human child.
Knowing that we probably say that, with their cuddly appearance and hefty features, a wombat is pretty much a giant baby. Be warned, though. Wombats are still wild animals and should not be kept as domesticated pets. They’re better off burrowing in their natural habitat and admired from a safe distance.
