No One Followed the Theme

We would like to know what the theme for this party was because everyone is wearing something different. The lady in the back looks snazzy in a feather boa. The gentleman in the front is dressed pretty normally in a crispy white shirt and suspenders. But then he’s adorned with a peculiar accessory—a necklace with an orange pointy emblem. Is it the sun or a flower?

Then there’s the woman who has managed to take a wrong step and splash her drink in her face. There’s either a hat on her head or the drink and reflection of light has taken the shape of one. Either way, we’re intrigued.
