Taiwan

Taiwan is a small country in East Asia. But with close to 24 million people, it is one of the most densely populated places in the world. The overwhelming majority of people in Taiwan are descendants of Chinese people that have immigrated there over the years. However, there also exist small populations of indigenous groups. These include Ami, Atayal, Bunun, and Kanakanavu amongst 13 other indigenous groups.

Women in Taiwan are subjected to the same beauty standards as women in China and Korea. There is an emphasis on having fairer skin and on having double-lidded eyes. Most Easy Asian women have monolid eyes and are often under pressure to get surgery to change their eye shape.
