Ethiopia

Ethiopia is a landlocked country located in Africa. It marks low on the Human Development Index, and achieving gender equality has long been a mission there. The people of Ethiopia are highly diverse, with there being 90 different ethnic groups present in the country. The country has throughout history been rife with inter-ethnic clashes.
Liya Kebede, who was born in Ethiopia has graced the cover of Vogue three times. She is also an activist for maternal health and occupies the role of an Ambassador for the World Health Organization. Ethiopia has its film and television industry and prominent actresses in the country include Fryat Yemane, Hanan Tarq, and Mahder Assefa.
