In this day and age, convenience is everything, whether you’re finding an easier way to cook food or an easier way to pour a bottle of ketchup. So, it is no surprise that the 57 on the Heinz bottle indicates the right side to remove the ketchup.

Little back story, though, the 57 was initially put there to indicate the number of food varieties the Heinz company had. Now it serves as a way to make sure that ketchup comes out of the bottle, especially when it’s tiny; this way, no ketchup goes to waste.
