Audio Jack Ridges

A reasonable amount of the world’s population uses earphones daily, so it’s just right that we get to know the anatomy of this device. Some people think the ridges serve as a holster to prevent the audio jack from sliding back out, while others believe it is aesthetic. Others have equally not even thought about what purpose the ridges might serve.
