Functional Long Bottle Necks

You may have thought that beverage companies are lazy for not coming up with different bottle designs and sticking with the long bottlenecks! It turns out they are not, and the shape of the bottle, especially the neck, is very intentional and functional. The most obvious reason for the shape and design is packaging, ensuring that the seal/bottle cap size is small.
Then there is the ease of holding the bottle even for a long time, and for other kinds of liquors, the neck holds back the yeast allowing only the drink to be poured into a glass.
