Plastic Water Bottle and Eggs

Cooking stores are replete with fancy tools for all sorts of kitchen tricks. One such item is special tools used solely for separating the egg yolk from the white. If required, one may splurge on a device to do the task, but, thankfully, a few pennies can also be saved by trying out an ingenious method involving plastic water bottles.

Just take an empty plastic water bottle and squeeze the air out so it becomes deflated. Then release the pressure slowly while the bottle’s mouth is held close above the egg yolk. It creates a suction that allows the yolk to be removed from the egg white. Cheap and brilliant!
