Ted Cruz & Heidi Cruz, Together For 21 Years

When Sen. Ted Cruz and his family traveled to Cancun, Mexico while the snow storm ravaged his home state of Texas in 2021, he received intense backlash. It didn’t help that incriminating text exchanges at the time went out. His wife, Heidi Cruz, also received heat for the vacation, but she was probably used to being thrust in the spotlight having been married to the politician since 2001.

They have worked together since, including during Bush’s administration when Ted joined the Federal Trade Commission and her, the US Treasury Department. The couple has two kids, Caroline and Catherine.
