“Love, partner, and best friend” — this was how former President Barack Obama referred to his wife, Michelle Obama, in his Twitter tribute to celebrate her birthday in January 2022. He added a sweet photo of them, reflective of the united front that they have shown during his years-long office term.

According to Michelle’s memoir, she and Barack met at a law firm when she was tasked to show the new guy around. After dating for a while, they went on to tie the knot in 1992 and welcomed two kids, Malia and Sasha, who have become instant celebrities when their father became president.
