Ron & Cheryl Howard, Together for 44 Years

Filmmaker Ron Howard is known for his role in the 1960’s TV series, The Andy Griffith Show and for directing films like Cocoon, Apollo 13 and Solo: A Star Wars Story. He has been married to Cheryl Alley, a writer, since 1975 and they celebrated their 44th anniversary in June 2019.

They have four children who are also actors, including Bryce Dallas Howard, Reed Cross, and twins Paige and Jocelyn. Both Cheryl and Ron agree that one of their secrets to a successful marriage that has kept them strong over the years is simply talking things through, particularly when it comes to the difficult topics.
