Britain’s Home Secretary since 2019, Priti Patel is a confessed fan of the late Margaret Thatcher who’s made the news in 2022 for criticizing France’s President Emmanuel Macron. She dubbed the French politician “absolutely wrong” following his remarks on how the United Kingdom isn’t doing enough to tackle the wave of migrants trying to cross the English Channel.

Whenever she’s away from the political stage, Patel keeps cozy in the company of her husband Alex Sawyer. They married in 2004 and have a son together. Fairly reserved, Sawyer works as a marketing consultant for NASDAQ.
