Rachel Maddow & Susan Mikula, Together for 25 Years

Rachel Maddow and Susan Mikula have been together for more than two decades now. The pair met in 1999 when Mikula hired the MSNBC correspondent to work on her yard as she was struggling to make ends meet while working on her doctoral degree dissertation.

The two had instant chemistry, culminating with their first date at the “Ladies Day on the Range,” a firearm event organized by the National Rifle Association. Although the couple has been living together for some 20 years now, they mutually decided not to marry. Maddow returned to the MSNBC set in 2021 to host her weeknights program “The Rachel Maddow Show.”
