The Letter That Changed The Narrative

A letter received by the police, penned by someone who claimed to be John, cast a new light on one of the most mysterious prison escapes in history. In it, he confirmed long-standing speculations: “We all made it that night, but barely,” he wrote, disclosing the survival of all three fugitives from that fateful escape from Alcatraz.
He revealed the later deaths of his cohorts—Frank in 2008 and Clarence in 2011. John also sketched details of his life post-escape, mentioning residencies in North Dakota and Seattle, Washington, though parts of the note were smeared and difficult to decipher, leaving some elements of his tale veiled in mystery.
