The Letter That Changed Everything

In January 2013, a revelation hit the desks of the San Francisco Police Department. A letter penned by a man claiming to be John Anglin declared, “I escaped from Alcatraz in June 1962 with my brother Clarence and Frank Lee Morris. I’m 83 years old and I have cancer.” This note jolted the authorities, thrusting them back into a decades-old mystery.
During the 1960s, it was almost universally accepted that John, along with his accomplices, had perished in the treacherous waters of the bay during their daring escape. However, this letter cast new doubts on the official narrative, suggesting that the truth might still be out there, waiting to be unearthed.
