Prisoners or Artists?

As the night of their planned escape drew near, each member of the Alcatraz escape team was assigned specific roles. The critical task of creating dummies to deceive the guards fell to the Anglin brothers. Using the limited materials at their disposal, such as soap wax and toilet paper, they meticulously crafted heads that appeared strikingly lifelike.
To enhance the realism of their decoys, they cleverly incorporated hair trimmings collected from the floor of the Alcatraz barber shop. These handmade heads were not just props but pivotal elements of their escape, designed to buy precious hours under the unsuspecting eyes of prison security.
