Stealthy Heists in Prison Bars

John and Clarence Anglin, siblings steeped in a life of migration and manual labor, evolved into an inseparable duo of discreet bank robbers as they reached adulthood. Their method was meticulous: they targeted banks after hours, taking extensive precautions to avoid confrontations and ensure no one was harmed.
This careful approach allowed them to successfully execute heists for several years. However, their string of unobtrusive robberies came to an abrupt end in 1956 when they were finally apprehended. Their fate led them to the Atlanta Penitentiary, marking a significant shift from wielding control to being controlled, setting the stage for their eventual transfer to the ultimate high-security confinement at Alcatraz.
