Interviews might become quite uncomfortable when technology causes delays or other disruptions. It can become a tedious task very quickly, what with having to place mics under the guest’s clothing, listen to test recordings, and practice. Indeed, this was what happened during Stephen Colbert’s interview with Kristen Stewart. Things were going smoothly until the microphone started picking up interference from a necklace she was wearing.

Colbert, rather than just explaining the problem to her, went ahead to adjust the microphone by moving her necklace, which brought him dangerously close to her chest. Clearly uneasy, Stewart decided to just take off the jewelry. However, the damage had been done.
