Former vice president Dick Cheney was the owner of this Saint Michaels retreat until he sold it in 2019. The estate, which was named Ballintober, consists of a main house that boasts of five bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and a guest house, all on nine acres of land.

Cheney, however, sold the waterfront home at a loss, short of the $2.6 million he paid for it in 2005. Though he initially listed the property for $2.5 million, he only sold it for $2.1 million. As of January 2022, Cheeney is the oldest living former U.S. vice president.
