Perino earned prominence as the White House Press Secretary to former U.S. president George W. Bush between 2007 and 2009. She had been known as the second female to have occupied the post after Dee Dee Myers who had worked under another former president Bill Clinton. Currently, she has been accumulating an impressive sum in her bank account.

Dana completed her education from the Colorado State University-Pueblo and the University of Illinois–Springfield. Although she has her official residence in NYC, Perino has a lot of attachment with the property she owns at Palmetto Bluff. The South Carolina estate has blue water, marsh grasses, Spanish mosses, and live oaks around it, making it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.
