Robert Clary faced a lot of awful things in his life. He survived the Nazi concentration camps as a young boy, entertaining soldiers with his voice. His singing kept him alive through those terrible times and after he was released he became popular in France and the US. Soon, he appeared on American television, making his mark with his distinct type of humor. On Broadway, he starred in musicals before making a huge break in Hogan’s Heroes. Clary now lives out his retirement days painting and speaking to people about the Holocaust.
