Before Neil Patrick Harris stole our hearts as child doctor Dougie Howser MD, there was another teenage medical heartthrob on American TV. His name was Dr. Kildare, and as a character, it made actor Richard Chamberlain a household name. It also made him the object of many young girls’ affection and acted as a springboard into other career opportunities. This included a singing career where he released several singles, including Love Me Tender and All I Have To Do Is Dream. He also landed more acting gigs, including the role of the Original Jason Bourne in the Bourne Identity TV series.
