Susan Tully – 54

“Grange Hill” is a children’s drama series that first aired on BBC between 1978 to 1987. It’s also the show that propelled Susan Tully to fame as Suzanne Ross. She made an even greater impact on “EastEnders” as Michelle Fowler, but in 2016, when she wouldn’t reprise the character, the show went with Jenna Russell for the part.
It’s simply because Tully had left her acting days behind in the late ’90s.
She didn’t quit the industry but instead chose to shift her efforts behind the scenes as a producer and director. Her directorial credits include the 2020 TV show “C.B. Strike,” “The A Word,” and “The Musketeers.”
