Phylicia Rashad – 75

Phylicia Rashad, also an actress on “The Cosby Show,” played Ruth Lucas on the NBC sitcom. The role earned her an Emmy Award nomination for two years running, in 1985 and 1986. While she was dubbed “The Mother Of The Black Community” at the 2010 NAACP Image Awards, she is also known as the TV wife of Bill Cosby.

In 2021, however, she stepped her foot in it by supporting Cosby’s acquittal in a tweet that said: “FINALLY!!! A terrible wrong is being righted — a miscarriage of justice is corrected!” The LA Times has dubbed her defense as infuriating.
