Trevor McDonald — 82, San Fernando

Sir Trevor McDonald, OBE, was a Trinidadian-British newsreader who was knighted for his services to British journalism. After his second retirement, he produced and hosted a series of important documentaries.

In May 2021, McDonald co-presented a documentary called “Trevor McDonald & Charlene White: Has George Floyd Changed Britain? ” for ITV. It discusses a range of issues related to race and racism in Britain since McDonald and White were able to approach British citizens from all walks of life to reflect on the death of George Floyd and what it means.
