Bobby Goldsboro – 81

Anyone who’s ever listened to hits like “Honey,” “Summer (The First Time),” and “Watching Scotty Grow” should know who Bobby Goldsboro is. The American pop and country singer and songwriter was one of those artists who left college to hone their musical talents.
And we probably wouldn’t even know his name if his efforts hadn’t paid off. Goldsboro’s 1968 single “Honey” remains the biggest hit of his career, as it became the largest-selling record in the world that year. But he’s also got several Top 40 hits on both “Billboard” and the county music chart and was still thriving in 2022.
Kim Novak – 89

Now with a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Kim Novak began her acting career in 1954, in such films as Picnic, The Man with the Golden Arm, Vertigo, and Pal Joey. Her movie career took off during the next decade and she worked with stars like Frank Sinatra and Kirk Douglas. In 1966, she withdrew from acting, at the peak of fame, and only sporadically appeared in movies over the next few decades. In the ‘90s, Novak had withdrawn completely from acting and currently works as a visual artist. She has two Golden Globe awards as a testament to her skill and in 2018, she received a special tribute from the Castro Theater.
