Natalie Wood, 43, 1938-1981

Natalie Wood was an American actress of Russian descent. In 1961, when she was 23, Natalie was nominated for an Academy Award for her Splendor in the Grass performance. She would eventually win four Golden Globes and three Academy Awards.

Wood would die under mysterious circumstances, though. After a weekend with her husband on a yacht, her body was found floating in the Pacific Ocean just off California’s Catalina Island. To this day, it is not publicly known how she got into the water in the first place. Sources say that it might have been an accidental drowning or that she was pushed.
