Jerry Stiller, 92, 1927-2020

Jerry Stiller, born in Brooklyn in 1927, pursued acting in his late 20s and would then meet the love of his love, Anne Meara. They would star as the Stiller and Meara comedic duo, which would make them household names in the ’60s. They would give birth to another great funnyman, Ben Stiller, and another actress, Amy Stiller.

Before he died in 2020, he wrote a memoir titled Married to Laughter about his marriage. It is a story of how a union even enmeshed in showbiz, which often spells doom for relationships, did not end because neither of them lost sight of each other.
