Don Shula, 90, 1930–2020

Don Shula will be remembered as one of the greatest coaches in the National Football League (NFL) ever. At 33, he won the NFL Championship with the Baltimore Colts. He became the Miami Dolphins’ coach in 1970 and led them to an unbeaten season in 1972, which remains a record in the history of the NFL.
Shula was religious and might have become a priest instead of a coach. His marriage to Dorothy Bartish lasted until she died in 1991, and they had five children. His second marriage, in 1993, was to Mary Stephens. In 2020, he passed away, due to yet unknown reasons, joining Dorothy.
