Gary Coleman, 42, 1968-2010

Gary Coleman spent his early life from one film set to another. By the ’70s, he had already landed several roles, one as the protagonist Arnold Jackson in the series Diff’rent Strokes. In 2020, he was the subject of an episode of the Behind Closed Doors show.
As he got older, Coleman’s health deteriorated, which was never great to begin with. His short height was already due to congenital kidney disease, and as an adult, he went through two unsuccessful kidney transplants. He also had heart surgery in 2009. After a seizure in May 2010, he was hospitalized and later died after a hemorrhaging stroke.
